Stupido Records

Kumikameli was born twenty years ago near the east border of Finland as an antithesis to the contemporary guitar rock. Logically, the Kumikameli of today is a noisy guitar rock band. From the early days of accordion-led children's songs the band has travelled a long road of ten albums (of which as many as eight has been released by Stupido).

Over the years, the line-up has seen a number of changes, but the vocalist and songwriter Toppo Koponen has been around since the beginning. We can thank his poetic vein for the lyrics of Eläkeläiset as well.

Despite the many-faceted words and often praised use of Finnish language, their albums have been released also in Sweden, Germany and Russia, among other countries. The twisted hooks will grab you, even if you wouldn't understand the language.
