Rumours about the death of Rock n’ roll are nonsense – AT’s Roots & Ramblin’ releases their second album!

AT’s Roots & Ramblin’ releases their long awaited second album “Golden Lane” on Friday 29th of October. Young and energetic band describes their music with the term “swingin’ rock’n’roll”. The album is a whole mix of rock-, swing-, jazz-, big band-, roots-, country and rhythm’n’blues music.

The album relays on big compositions and plain, but at the same time massive soundscapes. Three out of four of the albums singles have been listed on “Rockabilly Mania” -playlist. The singles have been playing on the radio worldwide.

There is no energy missing from this album. Albums title track is a racy countryrock song, which tells about the artist’s purposeful realisation of a dream and it summarises the whole recording process and the end result: “But sorry world, I don’t have a plan B”.

Pelle Miljoona Band is the latest lineup for the Finnish rock and -punk legend. Now the new lineup releases their first four song EP “Manifesti 21″ on 7″ vinyl and digital.

Pelle Miljoona Band’s players are musicians from Pelle’s hometown Hamina. Especially guitarist Hapa Tyni has been playing with Pelle ever since their teenage years. This is the first 7” record from Pelle since 1992.

Pelle Miljoona Band is the new lineup by Pelle Miljoona, Finnish rock/punk legend. The band is now releasing their new four song EP “Manifesti 21” on 7-inch vinyl and digital.

Pelle Miljoona Band consists of musicians from Pelle’s birthplace hometown Hamina. Pelle has been playing together with the guitarist Hapa Tyni ever since their teenage years. This is Pelle’s first 7-inch since 1992.

Punkband Katujen Äänet awaited second album is finally coming out

Finnish punk band Katujen Äänet is releasing its awaited second album “Kaiken Jälkeen” on the late autumn of 2021. The follow up for band’s debut album “Sulle, joka yksin aina oot” from 2015 is released 12.11. by Stupido Records. The album release party will be held on 5.12 in Tiivistämö, Helsinki.

Formed in 2010 the band had its 10th anniversary last year, even though due to the COVID-19 situation the celebration was fairly moderate. Empty gig calendar gave the band a change to finish up to second album that had been already in the works for a while. The band started to work on the second album right after the debut in 2015. However the band found the direction of the new album after the single “Joen toisella puolella” from 2017, after that they have been working on the album slow and steady with quality above.

The 10 track album’s musical style follows the debut album balancing between Finnish rock and punk. Themes such as feeling insufficient, loss and yearning are present on the songs, of course not to forgetting the softer romance. Album’s is recorded and produced by Lauri Eloranta who is very highly considered in the Finnish rock scene.

The song tells a relatable story on everyday life, finding of the enpowering source, when the rhythm grabs the tired traveler on the alley. Big horn section gives the icing on the cake, supporting the big arrangement of the band. The song works on both the modern as well as traditional rock playlists and it shows a band that is stronger and more brazen than ever. With their second album the band is aiming even more into the international markets.

Today (17.9.2021)  more Eläkeläiset were released first time on vinyl.  Humppasirkus (from 2006) and Humppasheikkailu (from 2012) were in turn this time. Colored double vinyls are the best “Humppa”-quality, with gatefold sleeves. Humppasirkus also includes Das Humppawerk -EP.

Singer-songwriter JOY REGWAN released her second album Painting My Own Colours

Album is a fine set of timeless modern folkpop-pieces, produced by Daniel Okas and Sami Tamminen.
folkpop-teoksia. The album was record on January and singles “Thank you” and “Invisible Tears” have been released before.

“Painting My Own Colours as a title describes well the album as well as my career so far. I have my own voice and way to do things, and it is leading just where it needs to go”, says Regwan. “Its wonderful to release this album – its the closing of a circle and a beginning of a new era at the same time. I hope, that the record rolls into many hearts, and gives atmospheric monents and comfort.”

Albums third single is lullaby like “Baby Bloom”. “The song was born in a mystic morning mood: I woke up humming the melody and went to the piano to find the chords. I knew right away, that this was going to become a song for the album. While i was working on the melody I saw pictures of hills, foggy fields and naked trees of Irland. Also the lyrics came just in a moment! I would describe the song as a kooky lullaby”, Regwan describes.

Dark toned Joy Regwan sings even about death serious topics with a twinkle in the eye. Her debut album “Mistä taivas alkaa” was released through Stupido Records just before the pandemic in March 13th 2020.
