On Friday and Saturday 9.-10.8. 2023, there will be punking and y\u00e4kking in the courtyard of the House of Art in Old Turku, just like last year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once again, there will be a wide range of punk history and nightlife from Turku, the rest of the country and the New Zealand\/UK axis. On Friday, Turku’s reputation will be upheld by old HC legends Turun Tauti<\/strong>, Abortti 13 with their ice show<\/strong>and Kovaa Rasvaa<\/strong>, the country’s hardest live band. Maria Makaaberi<\/strong> and Nyrkkitappelu<\/strong> represent the younger generation and Bastards<\/strong> the older generation.<\/p>\n

Saturday’s foreign representative is Desperate Measures<\/strong> (NZ\/UK), who started their career back in 1982 in Christchurch, New Zealand. The band continues to operate in their current London base. Local colour will be provided by the excellent Irish punk band Loretta Problem<\/strong> and national greetings from Dirty Pikarit<\/strong>, Rattus<\/strong>, Maaseudun Tulevaisuus<\/strong>, Holy Dolls<\/strong>, Lost<\/strong>, Appendix<\/strong> and Punk and Y\u00e4k’s godfather Pelle Miljoona<\/strong> with Pispala Punks.<\/p>\n

Desperate Measures<\/p>\n

The programme will be completed and refined during the spring, especially for Fridays.<\/p>\n

– Punk and Y\u00e4k, organised for the second time, immediately established itself in Turku’s festival summer. The festival was almost sold out and the courtyard of the Art House was filled with both older and younger punk lovers, says the festival’s production team.<\/p>\n

The festival is produced by Stupido Productions Ltd.<\/p>\n

The festival is age-restricted (K-18). Gates open on Friday at 4pm and Saturday at 1pm and the party goes on until midnight. Tickets for the festival are \u20ac40\/one day (\u20ac43 at the gate) and \u20ac70\/ two days (\u20ac75 at the gate).<\/p>\n
