AT’s Roots & Ramblin’ is young and energetic band and the latest attachment to Stupido Records catalog. The band describes its music with the term ”swinging rock’n’roll”. The last single “House of the Grooves” from the upcoming album “Golden Lane” has become a fan favourite as the last song in gigs, because of its breakthrough power and energy.

The song tells a relatable story on everyday life, finding of the enpowering source, when the rhythm grabs the tired traveler on the alley. Big horn section gives the icing on the cake, supporting the big arrangement of the band. The song works on both the modern as well as traditional rock playlists and it shows a band that is stronger and more brazen than ever. With their second album the band is aiming even more into the international markets.

Today (17.9.2021)  more Eläkeläiset were released first time on vinyl.  Humppasirkus (from 2006) and Humppasheikkailu (from 2012) were in turn this time. Colored double vinyls are the best “Humppa”-quality, with gatefold sleeves. Humppasirkus also includes Das Humppawerk -EP.

The year 2020, though dominated worldwide by Covid-19 pandemic, has seen a wide range of releases from Stupido Records (est. 1989) nonetheless. Among others, there’s been a jazzy album by Anna Inginmaa, more ethnic sounds of Joy Regwan and Plutonium 74, electronics of Sekret Teknik, live album by the label’s guitar hero Mara Balls and punk rock from younger acts like Lapsuus and Cause A Riot, but also from the legendary punk rockers Pelle Miljoona and Problems?.

Stupido Records Store – both online and on location in Helsinki’s bohemian Kallio district – offers a large variety of mainly independent, alternative music from Finland, Britain and North America. However, you may find here also harder-to-find records from for example Sweden, Estonia, Jamaica and even Africa. The new items can be found on our website, the 2ndhand ones only in store and partly on our Discogs page.

Stupido Booking sells gigs and tours to a whole lot of internationally acclaimed acts, such as Eläkeläiset, Waltari, Pää kii, Liimanarina, The Valkyrians, and also to some who are not signed to the label.

In the beginning of August we will release classic punk vinyls from Ratsia and Kadotetut and later in the autumn new LP´s from Lepolan Akka & Kulkutauti (21.9.) Pää Kii (19.10.) and Huora (2.11.)
